When upgrading to CubeBackup 4, can we renew our old subscription or is a new subscription needed?


A new subscription is needed, but you are free to use CubeBackup 4 during the current payment cycle.

New subscription

Since CubeBackup 4 has been completely redesigned from the ground up, it is no longer compatible with earlier versions. Subscription pricing has also been changed to be based on the number of users. So a license code that was valid for older versions of CubeBackup cannot be used on CubeBackup 4 directly.

Temporay license code

If you have a valid license for CubeBackup 2.x/3.x, you don’t need to wait until it expires before upgrading to CubeBackup 4.

Please send an email to sales@cubebackup.com with your current account number. We will reply with a temporary license code which will work until to the next payment cycle of your current subscription, at no additional cost to you. After that, we will cancel your subscription to CubeBackup 2.x or 3.x. When this current temporary subscription expires, you can create a new subscription to CubeBackup 4 from the pricing page.
