How can I find the backup for a specific file/mail, and view its contents?

Because CubeBackup keeps a version history of your Google data, including metadata for all files/emails, and because files are backed up incrementally and encrypted by default, it is usually not possible to view the contents of the backup files through the file system.

Fortunately, CubeBackup supports granular item-level search for specific files/messages through the CubeBackup console. You can always use the web dashboard to find any data you need.

Restore feature

The restore feature can restore files to any version in their history, or restore emails/calendar items from any backup to any active account in your domain or any other domain within your control. This allows users to view the contents of the files or messages without ever overwriting the original files or backups.

Exporting feature

To view the contents of a file/message, you can also export it from any version in the backup history. However, for security and privacy reasons, data export is disabled by default in CubeBackup. To enable the data export feature, please refer to this doc.
