Due to the complexity of data from different users, possible network connection problems, and long backup times, errors may sometimes occur. In nearly all cases, these errors will not prevent CubeBackup from finishing its job, but will be carefully logged in the log files.

Logs are written to three files: The backup.log file is used to record when backups begin and end, the restore.log records all restore operations, while the error.log file tracks all error messages.

Note: To keep the log files more manageable, older records are archived by month (e.g. backup.log2013-07, error.log2013-07). These archive log files can be viewed in any text editor.
