How do you run CubeBackup on a Mac?
CubeBackup is designed to run on Windows and Linux systems. If you want to run CubeBackup on a Mac machine, you can:
- Run CubeBackup on a VM on your Mac.
- Run CubeBackup in a docker container on your Mac.
You can follow the instructions at https://www.cubebackup.com/docs/user_guide/installation/#for-docker-users to install and run CubeBackup in a VM or docker container on your Mac computer.
Docker does not run natively on a Mac. Docker Desktop actually runs a virtual machine in which docker is hosted, so the backup data cannot be easily found on the Mac host, even after bind-mounting a host directory to the backup data directory in the docker container.
